"I like how [Tech] used their running backs," Dennis said. "They were showing me a lot of interest. When they were warming up, I got to go down onto the field and meet Coach Johnson. He told me he really liked me on film."
He mentioned that he thinks a Georgia Tech offer is coming soon. He said the Tech coaches wanted to sit down with him and his parents before they did so.
"I was planning on visiting them, but they said they want me as a defensive back. I want to play running back."
Alabama also is recruiting Dennis as a defensive back. All of the other schools that have offered want him at running back, along with Georgia Tech.
Does he have anymore visits lined up this fall?
"No sir. But, I plan on visiting Louisville and Illinois. I am supposed to go to Georgia Tech again for the Virginia game, their next home game."
Georgia Tech having the "hometown team" factor will not matter for Dennis, though it is just "down the street", he said.
While Georgia Tech is evaluating him, they are also recruiting his teammate and friend Darren Myles very hard. "We are pretty close," Dennis said of his relationship with Myles. He mentioned they haven't really talked about recruiting since the spring and that it woud be a bonus if he and Myles were both to play at Tech one day. "It'd probably be fun," he said.
