Poole taking his time

Hunter Poole, an offensive lineman from Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, holds four offers but three more may be on the way. Poole already has been offered by Duke, Ball State, East Carolina, and Southern Miss. He says Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and South Florida are close to offering him.

"Georgia Tech and South Florida are two of the schools recruiting me the hardest," Poole says, "oh, and Ole Miss - I get a lot of call from them, but I wouldn't really say those recruiting me harder than the ones that have offered."

The last two weeks Hunter was in the stands at South Florida and Georgia Tech, taking in some visits. Here are is thoughts on those visits:

South Florida - "They were playing Syracuse. It was good. I really enjoyed it. I took a tour of the stadium and ate and did the normal stuff. I also talked to the coaches a lot."

Georgia Tech - "I was there Saturday for the Virginia game. It was good. We took a tour around the school. I talked to the coaches. Coach (Charles) Kelly is recruiting me for them, I like him. I like Coach Johnson. They run the same offense that my old high school (Thomas County Central) ran the last three years I played. I like the offense a lot."

Does Poole have any favorites yet?

"I really don't have any favorites. I'm trying to consider all schools as much as possible. I'm keeping an open mind. I'll make a decision just whenever the time is right."

As of now, Hunter says there are no future visits planned and he is "playing it by ear."

His Lincoln High School team is 5-3 and he is playing tight tackle. When asked if he was enjoying his new surroundings in Tallahassee Hunter said, "Oh yeah, for sure."
