Euclid Cummings, the highly rated defensive end/tight end from Centennial High School, spoke with Scout.com about his recruiting and the final list of schools he is considering. Although his high school team is off to a 2-6 start, Euclid is having a nice season individually.

Euclid, how is the recruiting going right now?

It is going very well. I am down to four schools that I am considering and will make a choice from Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Tennessee and South Carolina.

Is there a school that might be a leader of sorts?

"You could say that Georgia Tech is the top school of that group."

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate Georgia Tech as a leader?

I would say that they are a seven right now. I'm keeping my options open and weighing all factors before I make a commitment to a school."

What factors will be the deciding ones?

"The main thing is how I feel when I am on the official visit. If I feel real comfortable and like I am at home then I'll know. Also, how I get along with the players that are coming in with me is another thing that is important. I have got to know J.C. Lanier and Emanuel Dieke that have committed to Georgia Tech and we seem to have made a good bond. Another thing is that I want to have a good relationship with the coaches. I get along with Giff Smith a lot because he reminds me of my high school coach a lot. He's real intense but he gets the most out of you. Buzz Preston at Georgia Tech, who is my recruiting coach, is another coach I get along with very well."

Do you have any visits set up, unofficial or officially?

"I plan on going to the Georgia Tech game this weekend and I have set up an official to Georgia Tech for December 12th and 13th. I plan on setting up other officials to North Carolina, Tennessee, and South Carolina."

Do you have a set time frame on when you will announce your school of choice?

"I plan on having it all wrapped up before Christmas time. I'd like to be done then so I can sit back and relax until signing day."

Dale's Take:

Euclid is a young man that any parent would love to have as a son. He was extremely polite and answered all questions with a yes sir or no sir answer. It seems that Georgia Tech is his leader but he will weigh all options before making a definite decision. That decision will come in mid December after he has made all his official visits.
