Mike, how is your last season at Valdosta going thus far?
"Right now, we are 4-4 with two tough games left. We win them both and we should be in the playoffs and hopefully can make a strong run towards a state title. We feel as a team we can accomplish this goal.
How are you doing individually on the field?
"I feel I am having a very good year, but the team comes first and any individual stats are meaningless if we can't make the playoffs."
Are you still a committed to Georgia?
"Yes sir, I am and I hope to be ready for summer workouts and fall practice next year."
Do other schools continue to recruit you?
"Yes sir, as we speak I am looking at a letter I got from Michigan. Plus, Georgia Tech, Florida and South Carolina are recruiting me very hard. I hear from (GT Offensive Line) Coach Todd Spencer a lot. I know Georgia Tech is having a fine season and that the players really like the staff there and especially Coach Johnson a lot."
You had said in previous interviews you would like to take some official visits. Are those visits still going to happen?
"I'd like to make official visits to Georgia Tech and South Carolina but I will wait and see if that can happen. I'm not completely 100% sure, but I would like to make them."
Mike was his usual upbeat self and really enjoyed talking about his future and how his team at Valdosta is doing in his last season. Even though he is a commit to Georgia and says he is solid, he might take visits to Georgia Tech and South Carolina and maybe a third to Florida. Those visits aren't set in stone but something he would like to do if possible.
