"It was really nice. I met with the coaches and my parents met the coaches. I got my papers set for January and everything. I went out with some of the players, it was a really good time."
Emanuel also talked to some of the recruits.
"I got to talk to Jordan (Luallen), Rod (Sweeting), and JC (Lanier). Another guy I talked to was on his official, Ricky Johnson (committed to Arkansas). He's a wide receiver-quarterback recruit who is really good from what I hear from the coaches. He said there's a good chance he could commit to Tech."
Dieke is excited to come in and have a chance to earn some time for next season this spring. He will also be working on adding to his monster 6'7" 220 lb frame.
"I'm really excited. I talked to Coach Johnson and he said it's a good opportunity for me to get ahead of the jump and the other upcoming freshmen."
He also said a few things about coming in to play for Coach Paul Johnson and defensive line coach Giff Smith.
"Coach Smith is real cool. I'm happy to come in and work hard and start getting in the weight room so I can play my freshman year. Coach Johnson, he loves to win. If you can play, he'll put you on the field. He's straight with you. He'll tell you if you can play, he'll tell you if you can't play. He gives everyone a chance."
Most of Tech's commits and many other big prospects will be making their official visits on December 12th. Will Dieke be around to see many of his future teammates?
"I don't know yet, but if I can I'll stop by. I'll come."
