DeAndre, how did your visit go at Georgia Tech this weekend?
"It went real good. I had an exciting time and really enjoyed the game. The game was one of the best I've seen and was exciting all the way until the end. It was a great visit."
Did you get a chance to talk to any of the coaches while you were there?
"Yes sir I did. I talked to Coach Johnson for a while. He told me they were real impressed with what they saw of me on the film they had and that they, Georgia Tech, are very interested in me. Coach told me that he liked me a lot."
Sounds like there might be an offer coming very soon?
"I hope so as I am really interested in Georgia Tech. They are a program that I like a lot. My mom went with me and she liked everything they had to show her and talk to her about. She is very interested in Georgia Tech and what they have to offer to me as a student and a player."
Do you have any offers from any other schools right now?
"No sir, I don't have any offers to date. My film is just now getting into the coaches' hands and they are looking it over."
Do you have a top list of schools?
"Right now, I would say Georgia Tech, Georgia, Auburn and Maryland are my top list of schools. They are in no particular order. I need to take visits to see what they have to offer. In fact, I hope to go to the Goergia-Auburn game to get an idea of what both schools look like."
Have you received any early invites to Senior Days or spring practices for next year?
"No sir, but I plan on attending a few next year. That is one way to get to know schools without taking official visits to them. I am looking forward to going to those type visits early next year."
How is Tatnall doing this year?
"We are undefeated and won our region. We start the playoffs this weekend and play Southland in the first round. We are pulling together and getting ready to win a state title."
How about you, how is your season shaping up?
"I feel I am doing very well. I have four interceptions and have a good many tackles. On offense, I am putting up good numbers too."
What position is Georgia Tech recruiting you to play?
"They are recruiting me as a safety."
DeAndre was doing his homework when I called and to me that shows dedication in the classroom as they had a long practice that day. DeAndre wants to go to a good program with good academics. He says he is looking forward to an offer and it seems that the first team to offer him will have a leg up on the other programs that are recruiting him.
