Union Grove defensive end prospect Anthony Williams is already receiving much interest from many top programs. The 6'4" 230 lb junior visited Georgia Tech for the Florida State game Saturday. He took time for an interview to give an update on his recruiting.

How was the visit to Tech?

"It went really good. Tech fought hard and pulled it off. I talked to a couple of the coaches and they told me to keep up the good work and keep doing what I'm doing. If I continue to work hard, they said I'd get an offer."

Was this your first time visiting Georgia Tech?

"No sir, I was also there for their game with Mississippi State."

Where else have you visited this fall?

"I was actually at FSU the week before for the game with Virginia Tech. I've also been to an Alabama game and an Auburn game."

Could you talk a little about each of those visits?

Florida State - "I really like their weight room and their campus. After the game I got to go into the locker room. It was cool, their players were really communicative with us. I like FSU."

Alabama - "It was a good visit, pretty normal."

Auburn - "That wasn't as good as the others. The players don't talk as much. It was like we just watched the game and that was it."

So who all is recruiting you?

"I'm getting lots of letters from Georgia Tech, Florida, FSU, Connecticut - who my coach told might offer but I haven't heard from them much anymore, Alabama, Rutgers. Those are the main ones right there."

Do you have any offers yet?

"No sir, not yet."

What will you be doing this Spring?

"I might play basketball. I'm gonna wait and decide after football season though."

What will you be doing in the Summer?

"I'm hoping to go to Georgia Tech's camp and Florida's."

Your former teammates Kyle Jackson and Steven Sylvester both play at Tech now. Are you friends with them?

"Yes sir, both of them. They're like my older brothers. Especially Steven because I got to play with him. Kyle's senior year was my freshman year."

Does the fact that they play for Tech give the Yellow Jackets an advantage in recruiting you?

"I would think so. I think they have an advantage because of that. They are recruiting me and they've already recruited two players out of Union Grove so they know what they're doing here."
