Georgia Tech quarterback commit Jordan Luallen's Center Grove High School team played Carmel High school for the 5A state championship last night. The two teams had already met in the regular season which was a victory for Carmel 33-32. Center Grove was out for revenge and put on some late-game miracles to win the title. Jordan shared what happened with us on Saturday night:

"Through the first three and a half quarters we were pounding the ground game but Carmel had it figured it out. We were down by 19 for awhile up until about six minutes left. That's when my coach decided we needed to spread the ball out, and try to pass it around to mix it up. We ended up scoring right away and then got an onside kick! We marched down again and scored. Then we tried another onside kick and their guy touched it even though it was going out of bounds and not ten yards. Our guy hit him and it ended up in Luke [Swift's] hands. We ended up scoring again and went for two to go up 36-33. We just couldn't be stopped, we were getting 10 to 12 yards each play the last six minutes. Our defense shut it down the last 50 seconds to make sure of the win. It was the biggest comeback in Indiana state tournament history."

Earlier in the day, Jordan was able to watch his future team play their rivalry game with the Georgia Bulldogs. He also shared what he thought about Tech's big win:

"I was really pleased. They came out the 2nd half strong. Josh [Nesbitt] really made some great reads to get Roddy [Jones] and Jon [Dwyer] going. Georgia just wasn't ready for it that half."

Jordan explained that the Tech coaches have told him the recruiting class seems pretty set and that there are only a few more spots to fill. He said that the staff is taking one more quarterback and that they seem in good shape with Courtney Dalcourt and Dontae Aycock, so it might be whoever commits first in that situation. He also said there is a chance his teammate Luke Swift could get an offer from the Yellow Jackets. That would be a dream come for Jordan, however he is ready to be a Jacket is excited for the big official visit weekend on December 12th when most commits and the prospects left for the class of 2009 are taking their officials.
