How's recruiting going? Are there any offers to speak of yet?

"Well, I'm going to Georgia Tech's Junior Day on January 31st. I am pretty sure that I might get my official offer from them then."

What schools are showing you strong interest?

"UCF, Florida State and Alabama have been, but I'd say Georgia Tech has definitely been the strongest so far."

Where did you visit this past fall?

"I made it to Auburn, Alabama, FSU, and Georgia Tech."

Anything stand out to you about those visits?

"I enjoyed all of them. All the coaches said that it'd be a good idea for me to show up at camps next summer. While I was at Auburn, they didn't talk to me personally as much as the other schools."

Are you planning on attending any other Junior Days?

"I might be going to UCF's and Stanford's. I've talked with them about it."

Former Union Grove's stars Kyle Jackson and Steven Sylvester play for GT. Does that factor in your decision?

"Yeah, I really think it plays a big part. Steven talked to them about me early on. I think that would be key. Kyle was a senior when I was a freshman so he's seen me, too."

What factors will be most important in your recruitment?

"I want the school to be not too far from home. That's a big key. I want a strong defensive line, a strong defense. Also, when will I really be able to start playing. Tech has told me I'm their top defensive end for 2010."

Do you have a timetable for making your decision?

"I don't know. I'm not sure right now. If Tech gave me an offer, I'd give a verbal to them."

If/when Tech offers you, you'll end your recruitment?

"Well it might not be totally over. My parents want me to wait awhile."

How did you finish up this season for Union Grove?

"I had about eight or nine sacks and blocked a couple of field goals. I don't know the number but I was in on a lot of tackles."

Anthony will be continuing to work hard, both on and off the field. For now, he is just enjoying his Christmas break. Things could get interesting early in 2009 when the Junior Days begin. We'll just have to wait and see.
