He says that he and his father talk a lot about going to play baseball professionally and that is the plan. However, if it is the unlikely case that he doesn't get selected in the draft in a round that would satisfy then he will go to school and play football as well as baseball.
DeShields and his parents took an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech on Thursday, how was their visit?
"It was alright. I met all the coaches. It was cool. We sat down with Coach Paul Johnson. He's a cool guy, he seems to know what he's doing. He knows his football."
UCF and Maryland have told Delino that he can play both sports in college. He assumes the other schools that have offered wouldn't mind, either.
"I haven't heard from the others about it but I'm sure they wouldn't care. Coach Paul Johnson told me he likes two-sport athletes."
Delino doesn't have any future visits planned at the moment nor does he have any favorite schools.
"I'm kind of waiting on FSU, but if they don't come (with an offer), then we'll see. I'm sure more schools will come."
He said that there is no real connection with why he said FSU, but that he just grew up knowing and hearing about them.
