Louisville, Kansas State, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Wake Forest, Duke, and North Carolina State are some of the schools recruiting Hillgrove QB Synjyn Days. None have extended an offer yet. Recently, he talked with Scout.com of his Junior Day visit with NC State.
Days came away with the Wolfpack as his leader. But what about other visits he has made?
"I went to Alabama the day before the NC State visit. The coaches there weren't really approachable. They were kind of busy with other prospects. It was not like NC State."
Days also made a Junior Day visit to Georgia Tech on January 31st, where he said he had a good time. He keeps in touch with quarterbacks coach Brian Bohannon there. How was his visit to Atlanta?
"That went real well. I've been to Tech many times before. They showed us around the campus, stadium, and dorms. I had been to two of their camps last summer."
Tech is recruiting Days as a quarterback. Is their offense something he would be comfortable in running?
"I run the triple-option offense on my team, too! I think that is why they're probably recruiting me."
What about the other schools recruiting him? Do they want him at quarterback?
"As far as I know, all of them do. Except for Wake Forest, they want me as a safety. I would like to play quarterback but wherever the scholarship is, that's where I'll go."
Days plans on visiting UGA for their Junior Day on March 21st and UCF in April. He said he'll probably visit Miami and Florida State, too. He plans to camp at Georgia Tech, NC State, and Miami this summer. Miami is one school he is interested based on a family connection.
"Miami offered my cousin, Roderick Days, for basketball. It'd be real nice to be at the same school with him."
Connecticut and Louisville have also extended his cousin a basketball scholarship offer.
Does Synjyn want to make an early decision?
"I'd like to commit early. I want to concentrate on my senior season and my team."
