Morgan Bailey - Profile

Loganville High School offensive line prospect Morgan Bailey stopped by Georgia Tech on Friday to meet with the coaches. It turned out to be a very productive meeting for the 6'5" 285 lb recruit.

"I went there and talked to all the coaches. It was very good. Coach Johnson talked with me for about 45 minutes and then offered me afterward."

What else does Bailey think about Tech?

"I really like them a lot. But I'm going to take all my visits, and take my time. That's what Coach Johnson told me I should do."

Does he have any other offers?

"No, Tech was my first offer. I felt really comfortable up there. I just feel really comfortable. I want to major in physics, they're definitely a school for me."

Georgia, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Duke, Michigan State and Mississippi State are the other schools getting involved with Morgan. Could any of them be close to extending him an offer?

"I'm pretty sure Duke is. Maybe Georgia, they were talking to me about coming to a camp and getting an offer."

Bailey plans on visiting UGA and Georgia Tech for their spring games. He also will camp this summer at Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, UGA, Duke, and maybe South Carolina.

When might he be thinking about making his college decision?

"It will definitely be before the start of football season, sometime at the end of the summer."

What is most important to him when finding the right school?

"First comes academics. Then I'd kind of like to play early. But, if I had to redshirt first that would be fine."

Growing up in Georgia, did Bailey have a favorite team that he followed?

"I grew up liking both UGA and Tech. When they played each other, I was always for Georgia, but you know, that can change."

With Georgia Tech's different style of offense, what does Bailey think about that?

"It's not too different for me. It's very much like what we do. We have to get off the ball quick and get after the defense. [Tech's coaches] like the way I come off the ball."
