Tech picks up WR commitment

Over the weekend, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets picked up a verbal commitment from a fast rising wide receiver prospect out of Miramar, FL. "I chose Georgia Tech over Ole Miss and Wisconsin", he said.

Chris Dunlap has announced he will sign with Georgia Tech on February 5th. "For one they have my major which is Building Construction. Plus they have a good nucleus coming back for next year."

Dunlap made an official visit to Georgia Tech on December 13th. "Nate Curry (Georgia Tech wide receiver) was my host. Coach Tommy Raye (special teams) recruited me", he said.

At 6-foot-0, 190 pounds and able to run the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds Dunlap looks to be a great pickup for the Yellow Jackets. The talented prospect finished his senior season with 38 catches for 730 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also rushed for 200 yards. On the defensive side of the ball Dunlap recorded one interception and had a fumble recovery for a touchdown. With those kind of numbers Dunlap looks to make an early impact at Georgia Tech. "I think if I go in with the right mindset I can work my way in and get some reps".

Dunlap not only takes care of business on the field, he also gets it done in the classroom. The talented wide receiver looks to be a full qualifier with a 3.5 GPA and a score of 980 on the SAT.
