How was your trip to Atlanta?
"Oh we had a great time. I know I did. We got a chance to talk with the players before and after the game and interact with them some during warms ups. I got a chance to see all the facilities and I came away very impressed with the weight room and locker rooms. They are very good. I also had a chance to talk with Coach Brian Jean-Mary and Coach (Paul) Johnson. They are really great coaches. You can tell Coach Johnson has got the program headed in the right direction."
Did you have a chance to talk to any of the players on the trip?
What was the best part of the trip?
"To me it was talking with the players and just the atmosphere around the campus for game time. The fans were great and treated us all great even though we weren't on the team. You have to like that, for them to go out of their way to make a recruit feel special. I also loved the game. I like the way the linebackers played for them. I feel I could be a good fit for their style of linebacking play."
What other schools have you been hearing from?
"I having been hearing a lot from Georgia Southern but recently Georgia Tech and Clemson have been showing me a lot of interest. I plan on coming back to Atlanta this year if possible and also go to some games at Clemson and Georgia Southern. I'll have to see how my schedule falls to see which trips I can make. I know I want to make some but I have to have the time free in order to do so."
What position do you play?
"I play all three linebacker positions but I mainly play the Sam spot or outside linebacker position the most."
What are your current measurables?
"I am 5' 9" and weigh 205 pounds. I have been clocked at 4.6 in the forty recently."
As a player what do you feel is your best trait?
"I feel my leadership, intensity, and work ethic are my best traits."
What part of your game do you feel you need to work on the most?
"I feel I need to work on staying with the play a little better and learn how to shed my blocker better. I feel I am good at doing that but I feel at the same time I can do both of them better if I work hard at it."
Gary, like his teammates Joe Morgan (his brother) and Ralph Cooper really enjoyed the trip to Atlanta. Like his teammates he left Atlanta with a lot of information about Georgia Tech and came away very impressed and liking Georgia Tech. However, it is very, very early in his recruiting so time will tell how Georgia Tech ends up with Gary in his plans.
