Which schools are recruiting you right now?
"Right now it's Georgia Tech, Louisiana State, Alabama, South Carolina, Clemson, Western Kentucky; Florida is sending me mail, Syracuse, Wisconsin sends me stuff, Illinois, Notre Dame, Connecticut, North Carolina, and Duke."
What schools would you say are recruiting you the hardest?
"I would have to say Alabama, Western Kentucky, Clemson, and Georgia Tech are."
Do you have any offers yet?
"So far, I have Western Kentucky and Clemson."
Do you feel any schools are close to offering?
"I think so. I think Alabama and LSU are close, and South Carolina, too."
Any schools stand out; do you have any favorites yet?
"I really don't have any favorites right now."
How about this past summer, did you make any visits or attend camps?
"Yes sir, I attended the Nike camp at UGA, but I couldn't participate because of a broken foot. I went to South Carolina for a camp, then back to Georgia for two more camps. I did take part in those."
Have you made any visits yet this fall?
"Yes, I was just at Georgia Tech for the Clemson game. It was good, I got to meet some of the coaches and meet some players. I think [Tech] has a good team."
Do you have any other plans for making visits this fall?
With your recruiting process, what will you are looking for at these games and on your visits?
"The atmosphere at the colleges and the atmosphere at the games. I want to see the fan bases and how they are and how they support their teams. I also want to go to a good academic school."
Do you already know what you might want to major in when you get to college?
"Probably business management."
What is the timetable for you to make a decision on a school?
"I'll make a decision probably at the end of my junior year or right before my senior year, somewhere in between."
While Sterling says his East Hall football team isn't doing so well this season, he said that he has between 35 and 45 tackles with five sacks in three games. He has also been invited to the Under Armour combine taking place December 31st-January 2nd.
