Terrance Smith Had Busy Weekend

Terrance Smith, a 6'4" 215 lb defensive end/outside linebacker prospect, made two visits in just a few days last week. He started out at Georgia Tech for the Thursday night game and watched Georgia in Athens on Saturday.

What schools are recruiting you so far?

"Alabama, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, and LSU are all recruiting me."

Which of these schools would you say is giving you the most attention?

"The ones recruiting me the hardest are, I'd say Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia, and Vanderbilt, too."

Do you hold any offers yet?

"Tennessee has offered me. Vanderbilt, Auburn, and Clemson are planning to send me offers."

How about favorites, have any yet?

"As of now they would be Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, and Clemson."

Were you able to make any visits or camps this past summer?

"I was only able to make it to one camp. I went to Auburn. It was pretty good, I ran a 4.6 40-time and did good in the one-on-ones."

How about any visits to schools yet this season?

"Yeah, I went to Georgia Tech on Thursday and was at Georgia on Saturday."

How was your visit to Georgia Tech for the Clemson game?

"The Tech game, it was really exciting you know. The fans there are really into the team. It was a close game. They are a nice school."

Now you didn't have Tech on your list of favorites, what is your interest level with them?

"Oh yeah, Tech is nice. I'm definitely giving them a look. I wouldn't mind being close to home."

How about you visit to Athens for the UGA-South Carolina game?

"It was exciting. I went with T.J. Stripling and my other teammates. It was an exciting game. The fans there are really into football. I got to see all the tailgating going on and toured the facilities. After the game we went into the locker room and I spoke with Richard Samuel and TK (Tavarres King)."

Do you have any other visits lined up?

"No I don't know where I might go. Alabama invited me to their game with North Texas on Saturday. I might go watch them play."

What will be the most important things you're looking for in a school when it comes to making a decision?

"Really, it's location and playing time."

Do you have any sort of timetable for making that decision?

"I plan on making a decision at the end of next summer or at the end of my senior season, so anywhere from July to December."

How is SW Dekalb doing? How are you playing?

"We're good. We are 2-1 right now, but we won the last two. Last game I had 11 tackles and two sacks, and two games ago I had 14 tackles and four sacks. So, it's all going pretty well."
