Alex Chisum - Profile

Who are the schools you're hearing from?

"Right now, it's LSU, Western Kentucky, Notre Dame, UAB, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and also Indiana."

Who would you say is recruiting you the hardest right now?

"I'd have to say Mississippi State and Kentucky, and Duke. Mississippi State and Kentucky were the first two schools to offer me."

Are Mississippi State and Kentucky your only offers currently?

"Yes sir, they are."

Have you made any visits yet or do you have any plans to soon?

"No sir, not yet. I have plans to go see Kentucky and Mississippi State. That should be around November after my season is over."

How about last summer, where did you visit for camps?

"I visited Notre Dame and UGA. I really did like Notre Dame. They have nice facilities and good coaches. At UGA it was the same. The coaches there are really great."

So with recruiting really starting to begin for you, what are the main factors you'll be looking at when deciding on a school?

"I will be looking for a great coaching staff, how the team competes, if it's a good program, and good academics."

You mentioned academics. Do you know what you would want to major in?

"Right now I'm thinking sports management."

The in-state schools are recruiting you, Georgia and Georgia Tech. If they offer you, are you interested in them at all?

"Yes sir, mainly Georgia. I've been a Georgia fan for a while now. I'm very comfortable around their coaches, too."

Your teammate Isaiah Johnson is a Georgia Tech commit. What's your relationship like with him and does the fact that he is going to Tech play a factor in the Yellow Jackets recruiting you?

"Yes, we are very competitive. Knowing I'm going against a D-1 player in practice every day makes me a better wide receiver. We really go at it and try to see who can do better. We are friends, so him going to Tech, I'll be going to some of his games there. He's leaving early and I want to do the same thing next year."

Jared's Take:

More offers are certainly on the way for Chisum. It seems Georgia would be his favorite if they offer, but only time will tell. There's plenty of that left in his recruitment. Top Stories
