Christian LeMay - Profile

What are your current measurables?

"I am 6' 3" and weigh 200 pounds and run a 4.54 forty."

How is your high school season coming along as the end of the season is getting close?

"Right now we are 9-0 and are doing really well. We basically have the conference championship game this week as we take on Independence High. We are both ranked in the ESPN Fab 50 for high schools and we're both undefeated. Normally we would be playing at our stadium we share that sits 20,000 but the stadium had some bleacher damage that forced the game to be moved to their stadium. It's too bad as the bigger stadium would have been sold out. This will be a big game."

How many offers do you have to date?

"Right now I have fourteen offers. The ones that I can recall are Miami, Florida State, Florida, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Georgia, Wake Forest, Clemson, Mississippi State, Tennessee, and West Virginia."

Are there any other schools starting to show interest in you?

"Yes sir LSU, Cincinnati, and UCLA are recruiting me hard right now."

How about Georgia Tech, have you heard much from them?

"Oh yes sir I have. I have talked with both Coach (Paul) Johnson and Coach (Giff) Smith a good bit. They are one school that has started showing a lot of interest in me as I get about five letters a day from them. Georgia Tech is one school that I am very interested in too. I really want to get to know more about them and see what they have to offer. I know they are a school that is on the rise and are doing great this season."

Are you a quarterback that prefers a pro style offense or a spread offense?

"It really doesn't matter to me as I know in both offenses you can put up very good numbers. In the spread offense you are a quarterback that run and throw and in an offense like the one Georgia Tech runs you can become a running back as well as a passer. I don't mind taking hits or lowering my shoulder and dishing them out."

What are you looking for in a school?

"Basically, I am looking for a school that can give me a great education and give me a shot at the NFL. I am looking for the best of both academics and athletics. I'd love to play in the NFL and I want a school that will give me a chance to do that but I do want to get a great education along the way in case that dream doesn't come through."

What are you looking for in a coach at the college level?

"I want a coach that will prepare me for life. I want one that will make me a better football player and a better person. A coach that will teach me how to handle situations I will encounter both on and off the field. I want a coach that will be one that will be there to make sure I am safe and ready for anything that comes my way."

I know you have a long time left in your recruiting process but how are you handling so far?

"I really enjoy the process so far. I mean you get a chance to meet new coaches and players and that is something I really like. Each coach is different and has something that you can learn from and I really do enjoy meeting them. I think I will enjoy the process all the way until I decide on where to go."

Dale's Take:

Christian is one player that has his head on right. He has a handle on what he wants and is level headed when it comes to his recruiting process. He is looking at it as what he can learn from each visit, talk, or any other interaction he has with coaches and other players in the process.
