Greeneville, South Carolina safety Pat Martin made the trip down interstate 85 this past Saturday to visit Georgia Tech. The J.L. Mann High School recruit joined fellow South Carolina player Hakeem Flowers on the trip to Atlanta.
Martin enjoyed the trip and was pleased that all of the coaches knew his name and who he was. Coach Al Groh told Martin that he's been watching his film and encouraged him to keep working hard.
When asked if the visit helped to change his thoughts on his top choices, Martin stated, "Georgia Tech is probably my number one choice." Although Tech hasn't offered Martin, he feels that one may be coming soon.
Pat has recently received offers from ACC schools Duke and Maryland. These two offers are in addition to an impressive list that also includes Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Minnesota, Ohio State, and UCLA.
Now that he has an offer from Duke, Martin hopes to make a trip to Durham in the near future. He had originally intended to visit Florida but will be putting that trip aside for the time being. He'll also be taking the short trip over to Columbia to visit South Carolina.
While he's not sure when he'll make a decision, Pat feels that after he takes his visits a decision could come soon after.
