Barron Dixon is a personable defensive end from suburban Atlanta's Chattahoochee High School. The junior lineman attended the Georgia-Georgia Tech game this past season and recently returned to the Tech campus on Saturday.
Dixon enjoyed his return visit to the Tech campus. Friday's snowfall in Atlanta gave Dixon and some of his fellow visitors an excuse for a snowball fight before he got down to the business of football talk.
The first order of business was to meet with the coaches on this visit. Among the coaches that he had a chance to meet with, was new Georgia Tech Recruiting Coordinator, Andy McCollum. "I enjoyed my time talking to the coaches on a personal level." One of the topics that Barron talked with the coaches about was the importance of keeping grades up.
Barron was given a tour of the Georgia Tech campus, the facilities, and had a chance to see a highlight film from the 2009 season. "I really liked seeing the highlight film."
Barron doesn't have any concrete plans for future visits. He may try to attend Georgia's Junior Day. "I'm open to any and all opportunities to see college campuses and learn more about options that are open to me."
