The offer put Tech high on his list of favorites. The offer from them gives Johnson five offers thus far. "Florida International, Georgia Tech, Illinois, North Carolina and Rutgers all have offered me."
The schools that have offered Kaleb run different offensive styles but that will not be a factor for him. He feels that he can adapt to any offensive style that they run. "I really don't care what they run as long as I can get on the field and make a contribution to help the team win."
With five offers in hand, Johnson has yet to select a leader. "I like to say that I am in the open stages where I am learning about each school", said Johnson. "I'm going to North Carolina soon to see the campus and learn more about them."
In addition to the planned trip to North Carolina, Kaleb recently visited Florida State this past Saturday for their Junior Day. While on the visit Johnson received a verbal offer from Coach Odell Haggins. Johnson used the trip to learn new things about the school and their campus. "It was a nice trip." Next weekend he'll be traveling to Orlando for the Nike Combine. He hopes to perform well in the workouts.
It was easy to tell the excitement in Kaleb's voice when talking about the new offer from Georgia Tech but his recruitment is far from being over. It looks to be a three school race between Florida State, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina. Kaleb will be one of the most sought after offensive lineman in the state of Florida in the 2011 class.
