Poole recently made a trip to Atlanta to visit Georgia Tech. "It was a lot of fun." While on his trip to Atlanta school, Poole took a tour of the campus and had a chance to see the facilities at Georgia Tech. "I got to talk to talk with Coaches Charles Kelly and Todd Spencer, who introduced me to Coach Paul Johnson and athletic director Dan Radakovich."
In addition to Tech, in-state schools Alabama, Auburn, and Troy are also talking to Poole. Poole is pretty familiar with those schools but wasn't with Tech until he made his visit. He plans on making a return trip when they begin their spring practices.
While Poole has yet to receive any offers he has several schools that are courting him. He attended Auburn's Junior Day and had plans to visit Southern Mississippi for their Junior Day this weekend but he had a conflict with baseball. He's also hearing from Stanford and Vanderbilt.
Despite not having any offers there are three schools that stick out in Poole's mind. "I'd say Tech and Auburn are even at number one and then Alabama."
Academics are one of the priorities that Poole is looking at when selecting a school. He has a 3.75 GPA at Valley High School. "I want to get a good education." Location will also be a factor in making his decision. "I don't want to go too far away."
As he moves on with the recruiting process Poole is being patient in awaiting his first offer. Once he starts receiving those offers, he'll also be patient in making his decision. He doesn't currently have plans to make an early decision.
