GT Wants Different Story

Ja'Juan Story is looked at by most programs as a big-time impact wide receiver. Georgia Tech is one school that sees in fitting better at a different position in their triple-option offense. Story hasn't been able to get around to all the schools he wants to this spring, so he plans on getting to that this summer.

Ja'Juan Story, the big 6'4" receiver out of Brooksville, Florida, is coveted by many college programs. Story holds 14 offers right now including Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Rutgers, Penn State, and most recently Ohio State. All of the schools recruiting him view him as a big-time, playmaking wide receiver; all except one.

"Georgia Tech, they're talking about me playing quarterback," Story said. He doesn't have a preference as to which position he'd prefer to play in college, but he does play quarterback for his high school and is comfortable at the position. He said his school used to run a triple-option offense and that he had fun playing in it.

"Whatever the coaches put me at, whatever is best for the team I'll play. I think [quarterback] is a fun position to play and I have experience there. I like it, its fun."

Story will likely be taking in a visit to Florida some time next week. Later in the spring and the beginning of the summer he will really begin to visit all of the schools he likes. "I'm going to visit as many as I can," he said, "Rutgers, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Pitt, Ohio State, North Carolina, Minnesota, Maryland, and Kentucky. I pretty much want to see all the schools that have offered me, basically."

Ja'Juan does not have a list of top schools yet and he says that will come after he's visited all of the schools. As for a timetable, he isn't worried about that either right now. Story runs track for his high school and that is taking up a lot of his time this spring. Next spring, after the recruiting process is likely over, he looks forward to playing basketball. Top Stories
