The 6'3" Lacey is a combo-guard that is projected to be a shooting guard at the next level. "I feel I can play the point and the two equally well."
Lacey is hearing mostly form ACC and SEC schools. The one school that he's hearing from outside those two conferences is Memphis. "I've had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Memphis, Mississippi State and I recently picked up offers from Georgia Tech and Kentucky." Both Georgia Tech and Kentucky are starting to show him a lot of interest.
Lacey has made plans to visit one of those two new schools. His cousin is Mario West who plays for the Atlanta Hawks. "I plan on visiting Georgia Tech to check out their new facilities and to talk to Coach Paul Hewitt."
Trevor will be playing AAU ball this spring and summer. "We start next weekend and I will be playing for a team from Orlando, FL. Lacey notes the difference between high school and AAU ball. "When you're playing AAU ball, you are playing top-notch talent every night." Lacey feels that AAU ball will get him prepared for the next level a lot faster.
While he's getting a lot of interest from some of the top programs in the south, Lacey doesn't have a leader at this time. "I'm taking everything slow and letting it come to me, said Lacey. "I want to see what each school has to offer; especially the ones that have recently offered."
Lacey has the option of signing in the early signing period or waiting until April to make his decision. He hasn't made that decision just yet. "That is a tough decision and will depend on how well I play in my AAU summer leagues."
