Josh King On Spring Tour

Josh King is using the spring to step up his recruitment. He recently visited Vanderbilt for their Junior Day and has plans to visit Georgia Tech and another SEC school.

With each week that passes, Joshua King's recruitment has picked up steam. "I just went to Vanderbilt for their "Super Saturday" and had a really good time there." King had a chance to talk to Coach Des Kitchings. "He told me they really liked what they saw in my film and that they had a lot of interest in me." King also talked to Coach Bobby Johnson who told him how Vanderbilt takes pride in graduating players and that they stress both football and academics. "I really enjoyed talking to him too."

Josh will be making a return trip to Georgia Tech on the 17th to watch the Jackets practice. Friday he'll be taking part in a combine that features players from the 2011, ‘12, and ‘13 classes. "One other school has talked to me about coming to their spring game and that is Arkansas. King plans to make that trip if it doesn't interfere with his other visits.

Despite the interest from other schools Georgia Tech continues to be King's leader. "My very good friend Quartterrio Morgan has committed to Tech as a running back." King and Morgan have been friends for a long time and would like to play together in college. "I'm hoping I can do well at the combine and really impress the coaches so that I can get an offer and we can continue to play together." If that doesn't happen, King will use his senior season to showcase his talents and get that offer.

Josh has been staying in touch with the Tech coaching staff. "Coach (Andy) McCollum has been e-mailing me a lot and staying in contact with me." McCollum has been keeping King informed on where he stands in regards to getting a scholarship offer. "I also call and talk to the position coaches," said King. "I let them know how much I really want to play at Tech." Top Stories
