Jonathan Battle - Almost Ready to Return

Jonathan Battle continues struggle with his knee injury. He is set to have minor arthroscopic surgery to clean out his knee to give him full range of motion. He says the knee feels great and is strong and stable at this point.

Jonathan Battle recently received good news on the recruiting front. "I picked up my first offer from Arkansas." During spring practice Battle had a steady stream of coaches stopping by his school. "Georgia Tech came by the day of my spring game," said Battle. "Stanford, Georgia, Marshall, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Michigan State, Purdue, and Cincinnati were some of the schools that visited this spring."

Cincinnati and Michigan State are two of the schools showing the strongest interest in Battle. "They are showing a lot of interest in me right now and I feel they could be close to offering."

Battle is feeling good about his knee. "It is strong and stable and I'm scheduled to have it scoped to clean it out to give me full range of motion." Battle feels he'll be at 100% when summer practice begins.

During the spring, Battle was limited in what he was able to do. "I mainly did walk through's and I was getting my legs back so that I'd be ready for the summer workouts and the upcoming season."

Battle at one time had plans to attend Georgia Tech's summer camp. "I'm not sure at this point," said Battle. "I was talking with four of my teammates about going up but we will have to see." Battle might go to Athens next week but hasn't discussed it yet with his line coach to see what he feels he should do. Top Stories
