Georgia Tech is among the final three schools Jarrod Davis is considering from his list of offers. "I'm down to Georgia Tech and Seton Hall and Tennessee is right in there." Tennessee was one of the first schools to recruit Davis.
Georgia Tech has been to see Davis play in person and have communicated with him since. "Coach (Paul) Hewitt saw me play last summer and I've been talking to (Coach) Darryl LaBarrie." Davis is working on scheduling a visit to Atlanta to visit Georgia Tech. "They want me to come for a visit but we don't know when it might be."
The second favorite on Davis' list is Seton Hall. The campus is not far from his home so they will be the first to get a visit. "I'm going to Seton Hall next week as it's only about a forty five minute ride from my home."
Davis knows what he wants when choosing a college. "I want to go somewhere I can play a lot," said Jarrod. "I want a school that will prepare me for the next level and one where the experience will prepare me for life." Davis will get help from his father and coach in making that decision.
Jarrod has been busy this summer playing AAU ball with the New Jersey Playaz. He's teammates with highly recruited players Myles Mack and Desmond Hubert. Their team has qualified for the Nike Peach Jam. That will be next on his playing schedule this summer. "I'll be going to the Nike Peach Jam in Georgia next month and to the LeBron James Academy in Akron, Ohio in early July.
Davis has already begun to remind people of a current NBA star. "I want to play the two or three and they say I look like Kevin Durant."
