Romar Morris Talks Final Four

Salisbury athlete Romar Morris recently made the long trip to Oregon where he competed in the National Combine. Romar also listed his final four schools he is considering and a time frame for when he will be making his decision on a school.

The trip to Oregon went well for Romar Morris. "There were so many recruits there," said Morris. "We had a great time as a bunch of us from around here went on the trip." There were over a thousand recruits at the combine. "They narrowed the list of performers to a top twenty five and I finished fourteenth so I felt that I had an excellent showing."

Morris has a lot of schools recruiting him and he's now narrowed that list to four schools. "It was hard to cut it to four but the four on my list are the ones I like a lot." Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Tennessee, and South Carolina are the four schools on Morris' list. "These are the ones that showed me the most interest and the ones that really appeal to me."

As a top athlete, Morris is being recruited at different positions by these four schools. "As long as I'm on offense, that's all that matters to me." Georgia Tech is recruiting Morris as an A Back. "I like the idea of being a running back and a slot receiver at the same position." North Carolina likes Morris as a halfback, Tennessee as a slot receiver, and South Carolina will look at him at both positions to see where he fits best.

Morris will be taking more visits before the summer is over. "I plan on visiting Tennessee around the 20th of this month and South Carolina wants me to visit before the season starts." Morris has already visited Georgia Tech. "I was at their camp and had an excellent time." Morris visited North Carolina for their Junior Day and their camp. "I just need to visit Tennessee and South Carolina and then look things over before making a decision." Morris doesn't plan on taking any official visits before making his decision. "I plan on having a decision before school starts."

There will be two factors in reaching his decision. "I will look at the coaching staff to see how I feel around them and I will look at the quality of the education and the value of the degree." Top Stories
