Video Profile 2004 - Mack Frost (DE)
Mack Frost is a prospect that is just beginning to come into his own as a football player. At 6-5 and 230 pounds with a 4.7 forty, his potential is unlimited as he is beginning to fill out.
On film he shows an excellent first step and good football instincts. He excels at rushing the passer and knocking down passes, which can be expected because of his great physical ability.
What was surprising was his ability to hold his ground at the line of scrimmage by shedding blocks through a variety of spin moves and arm extension. With his height and weight, I thought he might be a liability last year against a straight ahead ground game as shorter, heavier defenders got under him. On the contrary, he used his length to his advantage as he got his hands up quickly and was able to toss aside or spin around guards and tackles trying to block him.
As he continues to grow and learn, he is going to be relatively unstoppable for Spring Valley this season, and he is going to be a top notch football prospect for one lucky school next fall.
