Full Scrimmage Rundown...

ATHENS - Stats, big plays and thoughts from Georgia's second spring scrimmage Saturday.

Perhaps which players didn't play in Georgia's second spring scrimmage were more interesting than those that actually did.

Over a dozen players were sidelined Saturday, most of whom are expected to play in the G-Day spring game April 16.

Brandon Boykin (concussion), Sanders Commings (concussion), Christian Robinson (concussion), Jakar Hamilton (concussion) were all missing from the defense.

"When you hit you get (concussions)," coach Mark Richt said. "...you want more guys to get more reps, but the good news--to my knowledge it's not going to cost anybody a season or anything like that."

Also missing from Saturday's action: Washaun Ealey (hamstring), Alec Ogletree (groin), Israel Troupe (unknown), Aron White (unknown), Bacarri Rambo (MCL).

For those who did play, here are the stats:

Carlton Thomas – eight carries for 26 longs. Long of nine.

Caleb King – seven carries for 16 yards. Long of 10.

Brandon Harton – nine carries for -6 yards. Long of 2

Bruce Figgins – one carry for one yard. Converted third down.

Zander Ogletree – one carry for one yard. Converted third down.

Richt's Thoughts: "Not much in the way of running the ball…As we all know, a lot of it has to do with a couple of things; the blocking number one. The vision of the back, and the ability to make people miss and break tackles, number two. Sometimes how the defense decides how to play you that day might dictate how much space you have to run the ball."

Aaron Murray – 11-of-16, for 125 yards, 1 touchdown. No INT.

Hutson Mason - 12-of-19, for 192 yards, three touchdowns, two interceptions.

Christian LeMay 2-of-2, for 67 yards, one touchdown.

Michael Bennett – three catches for 94 yards, one touchdown. Long of 66.

Tavarres King – three catches for 77 yards, one touchdown. Long of 45

Orson Charles – three catches for 45 yards, one touchdown. Long f 20

Marlon Brown - four catches for 57, one touchdown. Long 33

Arthur Lynch – two catches for 21 yards. Long of 14.

Tavarres King's Thoughts: "Yeah, we did pretty well today. Everybody was making some plays. It was a good day to be a receiver… We were hitting them with three and four yard runs. Those are the things that really open up a defense. You keep gashing them. I think the first couple plays were right up the gut, and I guess you kind of get tired of that as a defense. It opened up the passing game."

Shawn Williams – seven tackles, one interception.

Richard Samuel – seven tackles.

Brandon Burrows – six tackles, two sacks.

Chase Vasser – four tackles, one interception, one tackle for league, one pass breakup, one sack.

Reubon Faloughi – fumble recovery for three yards, one sack.

Jordan Love - four tackles.

Jarvis Jones – three tackles, one tackle for loss.

DeAngelo Tyson – two tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack.

Derek Owens – two tackles, forced fumble.

Richt's Thoughts: "There certainly would have been some guys hit. The defensive players are taking an angle not to hit the quarterback, so it's kind of hard to say if it would have been a sack or not. Probably would have been another sack or two. Certainly there would have been some quarterbacks knocked around today, but we're not allowing those guys to do that. That can always change the momentum of a scrimmage."

Did the injuries on the defensive side of the ball affect the scrimmage?

"That was I'm sure part of their struggle today, especially on the perimeter. A lot of guys weren't participating. We get a lot them back next week. I'm not exactly sure who, but a lot of them are slated for next week."

Shawn Williams' Thoughts: Yeah, we did OK. We did better than I thought we were going to do (because of the injuries). I can say that we gave up some big plays; you take those away and they really didn't do too much on offense. It is what it is.

Plays of note:

Mason to T. King – 45-yard touchdown.

Mason to Charles – eight-yard touchdown.

LeMay to Bennett – 65-yard touchdown.

Murray to Brown – nine-yard touchdown.
