Dawgs Slated for Three National TV Games

ATHENS - TV networks announced today that Georgia would play on national television at least three times in 2011.

The Bulldogs' game with Boise State had previously been slated for a 8 PM kickoff on ESPN on September 3rd at the Georgia Dome.

ESPN announced today that Georgia's first home game of the season, against South Carolina, will kickoff at 4:30 on ESPN.

CBS announced today that Georgia's game with Florida, which is played in Jacksonville each season, will be played at its traditional 3:30 kickoff on CBS. The two teams have played at that time slot since 1996 on CBS with the exception of the 2002 game, which was a night contest broadcast on ESPN.

Georgia's contest with Georgia Tech is expected to be picked up by ABC or ESPN. The games with Coastal Carolina and New Mexico State are candidates for pay-per-view telecasts.

Georgia's game with Mississippi State will likely kickoff near noon if it is not selected by CBS for broadcast. The Bulldogs' games with Auburn and Tennessee are also candidates to be the SEC's game of the week broadcast on CBS.
