Dawgs Add Jenkins Duo

ATHENS – Georgia's hot recruiting streak continued Sunday night.

Jenkins County duo Jonathan Taylor and James Deloach committed to the Bulldogs on Sunday, Deloach said.

"Coach Richt just put the phone down and screamed: ‘Go Dawgs!'" Deloach said of the head coach's reaction to the news.

The commitments mean that the Bulldogs now have ten players committed to them for the class of 2012. Georgia's recruiting roll of late includes picking up four players in the last three days – Taylor, Deloach, Cartersville punter Collin Barber and Pierce County athlete Quayvon Hicks.

Jenkins County's James Deloach

Deloach indicated that he will likely play outside linebacker or defensive end. Taylor will play on the defensive line.

"When I told Coach Richt that I was ready to be a Dawg he said that he liked the sound of that," Deloach said.

The decision of the duo from Jenkins County was made together.

"We talked about it over the weekend together. We knew that Georgia was the best place for both of us, so we made the decision to commit tonight," Deloach said.

Why? The rising senior said he got a warm feeling in Athens.

"Georgia is like family. I really like the coaches and players. They are both really down to earth. Everything is really cool there. It felt like the best place for Jonathan and me," Deloach added.
