ATHENS – Georgia's annual Dawg Night led to commitments of epic proportion - covering three states, three classes and multiple positions.

Five-star 2012 offensive tackle John Theus was certain he was going to join his brother in Athens for his college career, but he wasn't going alone.

As Theus went to commit to Georgia head coach Mark Richt he had three players with him - and they were a very talented bunch.

"We have something to tell you," Theus said to the Georgia head coach. "We want to let you know we are coming to Georgia. We want to be Bulldogs."

The other three players? 2013 QB Brice Ramsey; 2013 RB Derrick Henry; and 2013 WR Tramel Terry.

Ramsey is considered one of the top quarterbacks in the country - no matter the class. Ramsey committed to the Bulldogs after a long courtship with Mike Bobo and the Bulldogs.

"It feels great committing to the in-state school," Ramsey said of his commitment. "I have no doubts about it. It is where my heart was the whole time."

Theus' intention was to bring a slew of guys with him to Georgia in order to compete for titles. Ramsey felt the same way.

"Coach Richt and Bobo said it was great because I had three other guys come with me." Ramsey said. "We want to start building an SEC Championship team - and a national championship team."

Another prospect, 2014 RB Stanley Williams, committed to the Bulldogs as well, on what has to be considered one of the top recruiting nights in Georgia history.

All four older commits are considered high-level prospects by Scout.com, but the Bulldogs added another commitment. Rankings have not yet been formulated for the class of 2014. Williams will enter his sophomore year at Apalachee this fall.

Henry indicated in May that he was very interested in playing with Ramsey - and probably at Georgia.

"I know Brice likes Georgia, and I am really high on Georgia," Henry said at the time.

But the move to pick Georgia over Florida had to be a difficult one for Henry according to his high school coach.

"This has been weighing on Derrick for a while now, going back and forth between Florida and Georgia," said Yulee assistant coach J.T. Medley. "Derrick gave me a call before Dawg Night and told me he was going to commit to Georgia. He really likes the coaching staff, and he really wants to play with Brice Ramsey."

The lure of playing with Ramsey was also a big draw for Terry.

"Me and Brice have been talking about this for a while," the Goose Creek, SC native said. "We wanted to play together in college. I just felt it was the right thing to do tonight at the camp. I've always been a Georgia fan, and I knew this visit tonight would be an exciting stop. I love the faculties, I had a great time with the coaches and I'm committed to Georgia."
