Georgia Preview

A quick-hitting look at Mark Richt's Georgia Bulldogs heading into the 2011 season.

Last season's record: 6-7

Returning starters/letterwinners: 13/44

Key losses: WR A.J. Green, OLB Justin Houston, OT Clint Boling - Green was a top NFL talent the Bulldogs will miss; Houston was an ideal outside linebacker who made plays in Georgia's 3-4 defense; Boling was a steady 4-year starter on the offensive line

Key returnees: QB Aaron Murray, OT Cordy Glenn, LB Alec Ogletree - Murray is considered the top the QB in the SEC; Glenn is the Dawgs' top returning OL, and a high-level NFL prospect; Ogletree moved from safety to linebacker and could be a breakout star in the SEC in 2011 Best game: Sept. 10th vs. South Carolina Projected finish: 9-3

Outlook: If the Bulldogs win their first two games of the season - against Boise State and South Carolina - they will be the hottest team in the country. If they lose both Mark Richt's job will be in serious peril. The season won't be decided by the first two games, but it will dictate the collective future of the program and coach.
