New Jersey safety to visit UGA

Georgia is recruiting a couple of prospects out of Don Bosco in New Jersey and one definitely plans to visit the Dawgs officially.

Georgia's Scott Lakatos (Secondary Coach) stopped in at Don Bosco last Friday and you have to assume the prospects he was checking on in the 2012 class were Elijah Shumate and Yuri Wright.

Both have scholarship offers from UGA and Shumate plans to visit Athens.

"The only official visit I have set up right now is to South Carolina on November 12, but I know I will visit Georgia, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma too. I am not sure about the fifth one yet," said Shumate.

The number four rated safety in America says he is now down to six.

"In no order, it is South Carolina, Rutgers, Georgia, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, and Oklahoma."

He will announce his decision at the Army All-American game on January 7.

Georgia has as good of a shot as anyone at this time he says.

"Georgia has been recruiting me pretty hard since the beginning, so I am looking hard at them right now. Coach Lakatos calls me once a week and I like talking to him. Georgia has a good program and I will be visiting them soon."
