A new LB in the mix?

Georgia is targeting a number of inside linebackers that are committed to other schools, and they may have their eyes on a new one. He is committed to an SEC program already. Get the latest here.

Georgia had Recruiting Coordinator/Defensive Line Coach Rodney Garner and Defensive Coordinator Todd Grantham at Tucker's game Friday night and not only did they have their eyes on four-star defensive end Josh Dawson, but they were looking at Jacob Sealand as well.

Sealand is still committed to Vanderbilt, but he would not mind an offer from the in-state Bulldogs.

"Georgia had a couple of coaches at the game Friday and I have been talking to them. I know they are interested in me and I have heard they may be close to offering me, but I do not know anything for sure," said Sealand.

"It would be a nice offer to have, but you never know what will happen. I am still committed to Vanderbilt and I still feel good about that right now."

Sealand is a solid three-star linebacker on Scout at 6-feet 1-inches tall and close to 230 pounds now. He is a very smart student-athlete and he could play inside or outside linebacker on the next level.

Chad Simmons started out with Scout in 2003 covering top talent in Georgia and the South. He then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become South Recruiting Manager. After less than three years, Simmons was moved to National Recruiting Analyst in July 2011.
