Devine likes in-state programs

Shamire Devine continues to add offers and he continues to favor the schools closest to home.

Virginia Tech is the most recent school to offer (Wednesday) and Shamire DeVine has added a few more this fall too.

"Vanderbilt and Tennessee have offered me this fall and I have offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Kentucky too," Devine said.

Two schools not far from home continue to stand out to the 6-foot-6, 320 pound junior.

"Georgia Tech and Georgia are my favorites. I have been to their campuses, I have talked to their coaches, and I like both schools a lot."

He's attended games at GT this year and he will be in Athens this weekend.

"When I go to Georgia Tech, I have fun. I just have a good time there. I like the coaches, I like how them and the players know each other, and I have become a big fan of theirs.

"Georgia is a good school too. Their coaches watched me play a couple of weeks ago and I had a good time at their camp. I am ready to get back over there to see them play Auburn. I feel like they have a big family over there."

Vanderbilt is a school just outside Devine's top two. He is still enjoying the process, getting to know the coaches, and just working to improve his game.

Devine has a chance to be a Scout300 member in 2013, so stay tuned to Scout for the latest on this talented junior.
