Sooners enter the mix for Sandy Creek's Johnson

Tech and Georgia have a big opponent if they want to sign Sandy Creek's Calvin Johnson.

"Oklahoma has offered," he said. Johnson said that he had been hearing from the Sooners for a while before they offered him.

Georgia Recruiting Coordinator Rodney Garner has been in touch with the Johnson household lately. "He spoke with my mom yesterday and we talked too," Johnson said.

Johnson has said that he is interested in both Georgia Tech and Georgia, but now with Oklahoma and possibly Auburn in the mix he is not as certain about his top three as he once was.

"I am not sure about my top three yet," he said. "I don't really have a leader right now," he added.

"I can go out and make a big play when the team needs it," said Johnson when asked what he brings to his team.

Johnson emphasized that he wants stability at the college level. He said that his high school coach has warned him to carefully choose what school to go to because the coaching staff might not be there the whole time that he is.

"I would like to see a steady coaching staff. I want them to be there as long as I am there," he said.
