Four-star C visits Clemson

The No. 12 center in the class of 2013 visited Clemson on Sunday for the South Carolina game.

C Desmond Ringer Profile caught up with Eagles Landing Christian Academy [McDonough, Ga.] junior center Desmond Ringer after his trip to Tigertown.

"I liked how the coaches asked for my feedback after the game. I saw how I would fit into the offense playing with Clemson. I really liked that," he said earlier this week.

Sunday's trip was the third one in the last few months. He was in for the elite camp and again during football season for the Boston College game.

"I think it's a very nice campus. I've been in the locker room. It's really nice. I like it a lot. It's real cool," Ringer said. "The weight room, I like the fact that Clemson basketball has their own weight room for basketball."

Clemson's main recruiter for the four-star center is associate head coach Rick Ray.

"He's a real cool guy. I feel like if I have any questions about Clemson that he'd be able to answer them for me," Ringer said. "He's real cool, coach Ray."

Also this fall, Ringer has visited Georgia Tech, Auburn, Georgia and Mercer.

Marquette, Cincinnati, Auburn, UCF, USF, North Florida, Mercer and Kennesaw State have offered.

The Clemson staff has not indicated whether or not an offer could be in the works.

"I know they're interested. I want one. I'm interested in Clemson," Ringer said.

He currently claims no leaders.

This season, Ringer is averaging 15 points and 11 rebounds.

As a sophomore, he scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds per game.
