Is Chaz Elder set to commit?

Chaz Elder visited Georgia over the weekend and the Dawgs again told him he was wanted in Athens.

"This was my fourth time at Georgia I think and everything was about the same. I did not really see anything new or anything that really stood out when I was there," said Chaz Elder.

Maybe Elder did not see anything new while in Athens, but what he heard from the coaches was a strong message.

"Coach [Rodney] Garner, Coach [Scott] Lakatos, and Coach [Mark] Richt all told me how much they want me to go to Georgia. Coach Richt told me that they really want me, so I know Georgia is serious about me."

The question is, is Elder serious about them? He has had South Carolina in the lead for some time, so has that changed?

"It is a pretty tight race with Georgia and South Carolina. Georgia has showed me how they would like to use me at both cornerback and safety in their defense and I am looking at them. Since they have really started to show me how much they want, I have started to look at them more."

Now, it could be decision time for the 6-foot-1, 180 pound defensive back out of College Park, Ga.

"I think I am about ready to commit," he said. "It is pretty much down to Georgia and South Carolina and I am planning to commit at the Under Armour All-American game.

"Georgia has a good group of guys there and I feel I can really fit in there. I have already been to South Carolina, so I know I like it there too. I think I will be ready at the Under Armour game."
