AU Signee Notes: Cornerback T.J. Davis

A speedy cornerback from Tallahassee, Fla., has signed to play football for the Auburn Tigers.

Tallahassee, Fla.--T.J. Davis, a 6-1, 180-pound three-star prospect from Tallahassee, Fla., has signed scholarship papers to play for the Auburn Tigers.

Position/Scout Ranking: T.J. Davis, a three-star prospect from Godby High in Tallahassee, Fla., is ranked as the No. 51 cornerback prospect in the nation.

Auburn's Main Competition: Davis held offers from more than 15 schools including Florida, Florida State, Ohio State and Alabama, but never wavered from the verbal commitment he gave to the Tigers in August.

T.J. Davis was a standout cornerback at Godby High School.

Why Auburn Signed Him: With exceptional speed and good height, Davis has the potential to be a shutdown corner at the collegiate level for the Tigers.

Worth Noting: As a senior at Godby High, Davis registered 44 tackles, three interceptions, six passes broken up and two blocked punts.
