Fox Grabs 2013 Point Guard

Coach Mark Fox landed the first piece of the 2013 class Friday.

Coach Mark Fox received the first verbal commit for the 2013 class Friday.

Faith Baptist (Ludowici, Georgia) point guard J.J. Frazier received an offer from Georgia Wednesday and committed two days later.

"He wants to be a Georgia boy," Faith Baptist coach Matthew Sellars said. "He wouldn't mind playing somewhere else, but I think he was excited to play for his home state."

Standing at 5-foot-8, Frazier is known for his exceptional speed.

"I like to call him the fastest kid in the gym," Sellars said. "Every team we play against he's the fastest kid in the gym. He's fast, he's quick, he likes to shoot the 3, but he's not scared of the basket."

Frazier had offers from American and Wofford and had drawn interest from Clemson and Virginia, Sellars said.
