New Bulldog target has GA roots

Georgia offered a very talented prospect with close to 20 offers on Wednesday with roots to the Peach State. Get the scoop here.

"Georgia offered me today. I found out about the offer through my coach and it kind of surprised me, but I have been talking to them recently," Hunter Henry told Scout Wednesday afternoon.

This is offer 17 for the four-star tight end out of Arkansas. He is a national prospect living in Little Rock, Ark., but he used to live in the Peach State.

"I lived in Georgia for about 10 years and I moved to Arkansas after eighth grade. I lived in the Kennesaw/Marietta area and I would have gone to Harrison High School if I would have stayed in Georgia."

With 10 years in the state of Georgia, he has an idea what UGA is all about.

"I know a lot about Georgia and I have been talking to Coach [John] Lilly about Georgia, their tradition, and things like that. I lived in Georgia, so I know a lot about them and I have been thinking about them a lot."

With the UGA offer now out there, one of the best in Arkansas would like to visit Athens.

No leader for Henry at this time, but Georgia is on his mind now.

"I am definitely going to try to visit them," he said.
