The August 30 kickoff will be the earliest in Clemson history and the first time Clemson has played a home game in the month of August.
It will be the Bulldogs first trip to Clemson since 1995. Georgia defeated the Tigers 31-28 in a night game in Athens to open the 2002 season, the 11th time in the last 16 meetings that the outcome has been decided by a touchdown or less. Last year's game was shown nationally on ESPN. It will be the first time ABC has televised a Clemson vs. Georgia game since the 1994 season when the network showed the contest from Athens.
