"Georgia is the place to be"

UGA got this talented 2014 prospect on their campus and he left saying, "Georgia is the place to be." Get the latest here.

"I visited Georgia for the first time and I did not know what to expect," Wesley Green told Scout. "To be honest, they surprised me. I loved it there.

"I really liked the campus, I liked the dorms, the study hall was great, and I just liked the surroundings. They help their players, they take care of them, and everything went smooth during my first visit to Georgia."

The Dawgs offered Green during his visit as well. He also has offers from Auburn, Florida, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Virginia Tech.

The offer combined with the visit has put UGA on top of this 2014 cornerback's list.

"Coach [Mark] Richt met me at the elevator and he greeted me when I got off. We went into his office, we talked for a while, and then he offered me a scholarship. He talked about how Georgia is going to recruit me hard and it was cool to speak with him.

"After that offer, Georgia was on my mind, and now they are my leader. I would have to put them ahead of Florida. I really like Georgia. Georgia is the place to be."

Green is a 5-foot-11, 170 pound corner out of Lithonia (GA) M.L.K. and he plans to return to Athens soon to take in a Bulldogs spring practice.
