The 6-foot-2, 230 pound linebacker out of Snellville (GA) South Gwinnett liked what he saw.
"Everybody was into the scrimmage and I was amazed by the excitement. They played hard and a lot of guys made plays. Alec Ogletree, Jarvis Jones, and Keith Marshall were three guys who stood out to me and they were great. I just liked how the team practiced hard, but had fun at the same time."
When the UGA coaches weren't coaching their current players, they were focused on Carter. The top guy is one that continues to catch Carter's attention.
"Oh yeah, I talked to the coaches a good bit," he said. "Coach Richt, Coach Olivadotti, and Coach Grantham all talked to me and I like them all.
"Coach Richt really stands out to me because he is the head coach and he is such a cool guy. He is cool with recruits, he is cool with his players, and I like being around him."
Richt, combined with his coaching staff, UGA's tyle of defense, and being a home state school have helped the Dawgs on Carter's list.
"I have a lot of interest in Georgia and I had fun on this visit. I like the way the team practiced and I saw some news things this time. I am not ready to commit to anyone yet, but I will keep taking visits and make my decision some time in the spring or summer."
