When did Mississippi State actually start recruiting you?
"I hadn't heard from them until Coach (Rick) Ray got the head coaching position at Mississippi State. He was recruiting me from Clemson before he got that head coaching job. Once he got the job he offered me."
What schools have offered you a scholarship?
"There are a lot of mid-majors that have offered me. The high-majors that have offered me are Georgia and Mississippi State. And I think I will most likely receive one from Clemson, too. Besides those two, I have something like 15 mid-major schools that have offered."
What are your thoughts about the schools that have offered you?
"Right now, I have made up my mind to go to one of three high-major schools because I want to play at the highest level that I possibly can.
"I have family ties to Georgia, so I like Georgia a lot. Georgia has been recruiting me since my sophomore year. But I definitely want to explore Clemson and Mississippi State. I like Georgia a lot but my highest priority is to play at the highest level possible. And those three schools are high level schools."
With signing day next week, when do you think you will sign?
"I think I will make my decision in late April."
Which of those three schools have you officially visited?
"I have officially visited Georgia but I haven't officially visited Mississippi State or Clemson yet. I am going to try and visit both of those schools before I make my decision. I don't know the exact dates that I will visit them, yet."
Getting back to your most recent offer, Mississippi State. Did it surprise you that you received the offer from Coach Ray?
"I was slightly surprise because I didn't know if he would have a need for me. I didn't really know the situation there. He called a day after he got the job and said that I had a spot there."
What did he say to you when he offered you?
"He said that he needed someone who could shoot the ball to help run his offense. That is one of my pros, I'm a pretty good shooter. I also have good size and I'm pretty skilled for my size."
Where do they see you playing on their team?
"I think they see me more as a stretch four. I'm more comfortable on the perimeter. In high school I play on the perimeter a lot. But if I have a guy who I have a big size advantage on, then I'll get on the post."
