Jim Tartt, an offensive line prospect from Crawfordville, FL, says that he is interested in all of the Sunshine State schools. But Florida State is the only instate school that has offered him. Clemson has also offered Tartt.
"I don't have a leader right now," he said. "Florida State and Clemson have offered me and Georgia is a good school. I also like Michigan"
"I have not visited any schools except Florida," he said. Tartt explained that while he has been most interested in Florida schools since he was young, distance will not be a factor in his final decision.
"I have pretty good feet and have pretty good pass blocking," he said explaining his strengths. He reportedly also bench presses 450 pounds.
I asked him if he was planning to attend Georgia's July Football camp and he said: "I'm not certain about the July Camp. I will probably take an official visit to Georgia though." Tartt's summer school schedule could be an issue.
Tartt has spoken with Georgia Offensive Line Coach Neil Callaway. "He just talked about keeping my grades up. He talked to me about offensive linemen and stuff like that," Tartt said.
"I have been running stadiums everyday and working out in the weight room. Working out is one of my favorite things to do," Tartt added.
