"The offensive line coach has seen me on film and likes me a lot but he wants to see me in person before he offers me," Thompson said. Yet, Thompson said that he does not think that he can make it to Georgia's July football camp.
"I am trying to go up there to their camp but I am not certain if I can make it or not. I talked with Coach Fabris and he really wants me to come," he said.
Thompson has already decided what position that he wants to play in college. "I want to play left tackle in college," he said.
And although Georgia has not offered Thompson yet, others have. "North Carolina, South Carolina, Clemson, South Carolina State, and Maryland have all offered," he said. But the Dawgs will figure in Thompson's decision for sure.
No doubt, Thompson wants to get an offer from Georgia, but even if he does not get the offer before the season begins he plans on visiting Athens.
"I plan on taking an official visit to Georgia," confirmed Thompson. It appears that Georgia could be only the first stop on Thompson's recruiting trips in the fall because he declared that he is very much interested in going out of state for college.
"Right now I am looking to go out of South Carolina because the programs are better outside of the state," he said. "But, South Carolina is in my top five," he confirmed.
