"SEAN JONES GOING ALL THE WAY; SEAN JONES ALL THE WAY," Larry Munson screamed over the radio as Jones streaked into the end zone against Tennessee.
That was the signature moment for the All-American safety – a 90-plus yard fumble recovered for a touchdown as Georgia routed the Volunteers 41-14 in Neyland Stadium. His play against Auburn in 2002 was critical in the Dawgs nailing down their first division title in school history.
Jones was a smooth safety at Georgia, starting 24 games, racking up 250 tackles and seven interceptions.
He was also adept at blocking kicks, finishing with four blocks in his career.
Jones was drafted in the second round of the 2004 NFL draft, spending time with the Browns, Eagles and Buccaneers in a pro career that has seen over 500 tackles and 17 interceptions.
